WHAT IS THE GLOBAL PREGNANCY COLLABORATION (COLAB)?
CoLab is a consortium of international investigative groups with data and biological samples from women prior to, during and in some cases, long after an adverse pregnancy outcome. These data and samples are in a membership-wide shared database and available to CoLab members and to investigators sponsored by CoLab members. We currently have members from over 38 centres with more than 300,000 pregnancies and we are growing!
HOW TO BECOME A COLAB MEMBER?
Applicants with research interests relevant to CoLab (complications of pregnancy) and excellent data and/or biological samples can obtain an application from the CoLab Data Manager, Kasey Dickenson, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WHAT ARE MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES?
CoLab has a unique organizational structure; there are no dues or fees for participation. Representatives from each center are invited to join in monthly 30-minute web-based conferences. There are no obligations other than to participate in good faith! Representatives are free to make individual decisions regarding involvement in projects on a proposal-by-proposal basis.
WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE DATA OR BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES?
CoLab welcomes individuals with no data or biological samples to participate as adjunct representatives. Adjunct representatives will participate in the monthly 30-minute web-based conferences and will also receive the "minutes" of the proceedings. Click here to view the current participation roster.
